Friday Sessions Include Workshops for High School Teachers, Panel on H.L. Mencken

Back to work on Friday morning: invigorating panels on cars and costumes in The Great Gatsby, and the sordid environs of The Beautiful and Damned. More than 40 high-school teachers arrived for workshops on teaching Fitzgerald in the secondary curriculum. In between were excurses on Fitzgerald in China, creative responses to Fitzgerald, including one-woman plays and novels-in-progress, and a special panel on Baltimore sage H. L.
