Spectacular Venues of the 2009 Baltimore Conference

On Thursday, Oct. 1, conference attendees visited the Evergreen Museum and Garrett Library for a reception and talk after our bus tour of Fitzgerald sites in Baltimore. Our featured speaker was Richard A. Davison. The event was sponsored by the Fitzgerald Society and The Hopkins Review.

On Friday, Oct. 2, we enjoyed a fabulous buffet in the John Eager Howard Room of the Belvedere Hotel. Featured guests that night included writers John Barth and Alice McDermott.

The hotel building is now condominiums and offices, but Truffles Catering Company operates The Owl Bar, The John Eager Howard Room (where our reception was held) and the 13th Floor, with ballrooms and a night club with a terrific view of the city.
